How to Stop Concealer From Creasing Into Fine Lines
If your concealer looks smooth at 9am and settled into every fine line by lunch, the problem usually isn't the amount of coverage you need — it's how the product is applied and set. As skin loses elasticity, fine lines around the eyes become natural catch-points: product with too much slip, applied too thick, or left unset simply has somewhere to go.
Why creasing happens
Concealer creases when there's more product sitting in a line than the skin around it, and that excess has no way to stay put once you talk, blink, or squint. The diagram below shows the difference between a thick, unset layer (which pools) and a thin, set layer (which flexes with the skin instead of collecting in the crease).

Prime the under-eye
A lightweight, hydrating primer fills fine lines before product goes on, so concealer sits on a level surface instead of settling into the groove.

Apply in thin layers
Build coverage with two thin layers instead of one thick one. Thin layers flex with movement; thick layers crack and pool.

Set with a light hand
Press — don't sweep — a small amount of translucent powder only where you applied concealer. Sweeping motion is what pushes product into the line.
