What Do We Do With Your Information?

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us, such as your name, address, and email address.

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer's internet protocol (IP) address, which helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products, and other updates.

How do you get my consent?

When you provide personal information to complete a transaction, verify a payment method, place an order, arrange delivery, or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting and using it for that specific reason only.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your express consent or give you an opportunity to say no.

Hosting & Payments

Our store is built on Next.js and hosted on Vercel. Payments are processed by Stripe, not by any third-party checkout — we never redirect you to another site to complete a purchase. Order, session, and quiz-answer data is stored in our own database, hosted on Vercel Postgres.

We also use Shopify, but only internally as an inventory ledger — it does not process checkout, store customer personal information, or ever interact with your browser directly.

Payment Security

Stripe stores your payment card data. It is encrypted in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Stripe is a certified PCI Service Provider Level 1, the most stringent level of certification available.

Third-Party Services

In general, the third-party providers we use will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

Certain providers, such as our payment processor, have their own privacy policies with respect to the information we're required to provide them for your purchase-related transactions. We recommend reading their privacy policies so you understand how your information is handled.

Once you leave our site — for example, by following an outbound link — you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites.

Security

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry-standard practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed. Payment information is encrypted in transit using TLS. While no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow PCI-DSS requirements and generally accepted industry standards.

We use essential cookies required for the site and checkout to function (for example, keeping your shade-match quiz results and cart contents as you move between pages). A full itemized cookie list will be published here once our analytics and session tooling is finalized — placeholder pending that build-out.
