VKTR Vision

VKTR's giving initiative, helping people around the world see again.

With a focus on

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Everything we make is about how you see yourself. So we want to help more people simply see. Through VKTR Vision we give $1 per order to Seva Foundation, a nonprofit that helps people who are going blind from cataracts see again, with a surgery that often takes about 15 minutes.

Sight-saving surgeries*

On October 31, 2026 we made our first gift to Seva: $750, roughly a dollar for every order since we relaunched in August. It landed on the last day of Seva's World Sight Day campaign, when gifts were matched dollar for dollar, so it became $1,500. Here is the receipt, with our personal details blacked out.

*By Seva's estimate that a $50 donation provides sight-saving surgery to someone in need.

Why Seva

The joy through the service

“Seva” is Sanskrit for selfless service. Here is how it found us.

Ryn Taylor

Ryn Taylor

Founder, VKTR

Ryn has long been inspired by the teacher Ram Dass. When we looked for a cause that fit a brand about how women see themselves, his Seva was the obvious choice.

1978

Ram Dass

Seva co-founder

In 1978 Ram Dass helped found Seva with Dr. Larry Brilliant, Wavy Gravy and a group of doctors and activists. For years he raised money for it through his talks and benefit concerts, including the Grateful Dead's first Seva benefit in 1979.

Discover how

How sight comes back

Cataracts cause about half of the world's blindness. Most of it can be fixed.

The cause

A clouded lens

A cataract clouds the lens of the eye until the world fades out. It is the leading cause of blindness, and it is treatable.

The fix

A short surgery

Surgeons replace the clouded lens with a clear one, in a procedure that often takes about 15 minutes.

The cost

About $50

Seva says a $50 donation provides sight-saving surgery to someone in need, through local hospitals it supports.
