Ryn Taylor

Ryn Taylor is the founder of VKTR Cosmetics, where she leads creative and product development from Los Angeles. Before VKTR she worked as a video editor, and the way she thinks about makeup comes from an unusual place: a collection of cosmetics that spans more than a century.

Ryn collects and documents vintage beauty, from 1920s compacts and 1930s vanity cases to the wartime workarounds that changed how women did their faces for good. Her videos on the history of makeup, posted as @manicteenager, have built a following across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Lemon8 and YouTube.

That history is why VKTR makes one product and makes it carefully. A hundred years of compacts taught her that the formulas women kept were the ones that respected their skin: light enough to wear all day, kind enough to wear every day, and honest about what they could do. VKTR's 2-in-1 concealer-foundation is built on that standard, for the skin most brands stopped designing for.

She also runs the Ageless Beauty Program alongside the lessons taught by celebrity makeup artist Anthony Pazos, and reads every post in its community.
